I wanted to pause before sharing all the lovely & exciting things I’m doing this week in support of the book’s launch & say: this is a book about loneliness, specifically the ongoing struggle of not feeling safe in one’s own mind—a loneliness that conceals the self from the self

if you also know this struggle, if you’ve felt its shape—if you’ve ever felt utterly alone & needed to find a way to speak that loneliness to the world, to keep going: I wrote this poem, and this book, most of all, for you
