1/ Today, we’re thrilled to be launching @Spotify Paid Subscriptions, enabling creators to stand up their own podcast subscription businesses on @anchor.

This marks a new era for podcast monetization through a platform that’s purpose built for creators. https://blog.anchor.fm/updates/paidsubscriptions
2/ @Spotify Paid Subscriptions maximizes creator revenue through the best terms:

For the next two years, 100% of revenue goes to creators (excl. payment processing fees).
3/ It also gives creators the most reach.

Paid Subscription podcasts can be heard in *any* podcast player, not just @Spotify.

Plus it works across platforms, on iOS, Android, smart speakers, gaming consoles, in the car, any everywhere else Spotify is available.
4/ And it enables discoverability.

Podcasts published through Paid Subscriptions are fully discoverable in @Spotify Search, and subscriber-only episodes live within podcasters' existing feeds.

So listeners don’t have to go hunting for private RSS feeds. It just works.
5/ At @Spotify, we strongly believe in creator choice. Creators should have the power to choose the business model that’s best for them.

We’re excited to add Paid Subscriptions to our existing monetization offering and can’t wait to see creators thrive with this new model.
6/ We also want to make it easy for creators on *other* platforms to build audio businesses.

Soon, we’ll be releasing @Spotify’s Open Access Platform for other subscription platforms. This will let your listeners hear your content on Spotify using your existing login system.
7/ Through @Spotify OAP, subscribers to all kinds of services (newsletters, podcasts w/ private RSS, newspapers w/ audio content, etc) can access subscriber-only content on the leading audio streaming platform through existing logins and their provider’s own billing solutions.
