Does being rich make you happier?

///THREAD///
Let us look at Gautama Buddha’s life. Gautama was born into a wealthy family as a prince in present-day Nepal. Although he had an easy life, Gautama was moved by suffering in the world. He decided to give up his life & endure poverty. And then he goes on to find enlightenment.
On contrast, if he had born in a poor family, do you think that he would have found enlightenment?
Of course, not. He would have spent all his life working for daily wages to save his family and would have suffered till death.
Why do we want money to become happy?

To be frank, all of us are not in the pursuit of money but we want money to become free. It is ‘freedom’ that all of us want.

All of us long for being in control of our own time and we do not like to a accept orders.
Hence, we look up to the people with money like Gods since they can do, be and eat whatever they want.

Of course, money cannot make an already wealthy person happier, but a person with an average income can definitely made happier by giving him more money.
For a middle class-guy, more money means more happiness.

Can we become rich by working a 9-5 job?

No, but in rare cases you can be rich only by an age of 65 after retiring, where you will not have energy and health to enjoy the money you have made all your life by spending your blood, sweat and tears.
How can we become rich without getting lucky?

1.Saving:
This is the most traditional way of becoming rich. But as I said earlier, by saving you can become rich only by the age 65 and you will not have much use for your money except for hospital bills.
2.Investing in shares and bonds:

Save you money first and then invest the money into shares of company, stocks and bonds.

You can even be a millionaire if you invest in the right stocks at the right time.

Read proper books and attend classes before making any decision.
