Keep this in mind about San Francisco's OLine... elite in run-blocking grades, metrics, etc.

But pass-blocking was quietly a major issue.

Does that play into Thursday's decision on who they draft at QB?

Pressure was the common theme:

LT Williams- More sacks than previous 3 yrs combined
G Laken Tomlinson- 2nd most QB hits
C Dane Brunskill- 3rd most pressures among Cs
G McKivitz/Skule/Compton- Replacement level
RT Mike McGlinchey- 70th in PFF Pass-Block Grade for OTs

When SF QBs had the ball more than 2.5 secs in the pocket, they threw 15 combined INTs…the MOST in the league.

IOW, improvisation was a disaster with Mr. Mullens, Jimmy G & Beathard.

The lack of consistency at QB showed…

-They completed 49 percent of their passes under pressure 🤮
-Beathard had the largest discrepancy of PFF grades from pressured vs clean pocket in the league.
-Garoppolo’s average time to throw (2.39) hid this problem.

This thread is brought to you by Justin Fields… a QB I think could change some of those dynamics.

I know I’ve got my head in the sand ignoring the farts & whistles of anything anyone is saying besides Lynch/Shanahan.

He fades out whispering… wait til Thursday.
