watched "the falcon and the winter soldier" and the main villain was a band of radical egalitarians (clearly a stand-in for the radical segments of blm) while the savior was a new black captain america who solved systemic racism by talking to a few senators. peak liberal brainrot
btw the show in general was pretty trash (wandavision was better, but also not good). most interesting parts were the non-action scenes, when the falcon or the winter soldier guy were just living their regular lives. anyway it's hilarious that right-wingers called this "woke"
the only conceivable way this show could be called "woke", from the first episode to the last, is if it means "non-white characters had speaking roles". that's it. it was clear from the beginning that the radical evil villains were a group who literally wanted open borders. lmao
also there's a black "super soldier" wrongfully jailed for 30 years and disillusioned bc of it, but ends up w/ his faith in the system restored after being given a section at the captain america exhibition. no material restitution, just pure symbolism. "we see you, we hear you"
it's basically about the blm uprising of last summer, depicting the struggle between its liberal and radical "violent" segment, with the former of course coming out as the only viable, reasonable one, and the latter depicted as basically akin to nazism. perfect bourgeois ideology
