Got my AstraZeneca 1st dose on Friday. Kept track of my side effects. Tl;dr: fine in under 48 hours. Sharing how it made me feel in this thread. Kicking off with actually getting the vaccine! Yes, I hate needles

9 hours after receiving the vaccine, I started to feel some slight sensitivity, and the feeling of having a bit of a cold. Grogginess level: lemon and ginger tea #NotThrowingAwayMyShot #GetVaccinated
11 hours after vaccine, and I was @katyperryâs love interest. Was I hot? Was I cold? Who knows. Very fidgety, very achey, couldnât keep still and definitely couldnât sleep. Grogginess level: bowl of @HeinzTweets tomato soup #NotThrowingAwayMyShot #GetVaccinated
12 hours after vaccine, looking rough, definite fever. Hadnât realised at the time. Only in hindsight when I saw that Iâd told a very dull story about the time I had number dreams after learning long division

14 hours after vaccine. Fever, headache, achiness. Time for two paracetamol! I did finally get some sleep after this, but only a couple of good hours before waking drenched in my own sweat. This was the worst of the achiness though. #GetVaccinated #NotThrowingAwayMyShot
20 hours after vaccine and a little sleep and starting to feel a lot better, despite looking my worst! Achiness vastly reduced though still feeling a little delicate. Very sleepy. May scare children. #GetVaccinated #NotThrowingAwayMyShot
33 hours after vaccine and just reporting that the day was mostly fine. Had another two paracetamol at lunchtime as the achiness and headache were creeping back in. Grogginess level: lemon and ginger tea in bed #GetVaccinated #NotThrowingAwayMyShot
48 hours after vaccine, normal Suze service has resumed. Slept well. Finished week 6 of #C25K with 25 min run. My arm wasnât even that achey. If you are offered any vaccine and are able to take it, please consider doing so for you AND others! #GetVaccinated #NotThrowingAwayMyShot
