a story which may or may not resonate with you in a few parts:
so i awakened (at 3am

so i awakened (at 3am
one thing kat loved to do was celebrate a holiday or some spiritual ritual etc. she also loved crafts. and had the most incredible eye for beauty of all kind.
and an infectious laugh.
and an infectious laugh.
one day i was at her apt (where i spent a lot of time during part of my dark decade) and we were doing something that involved making a wish.
i went first and probably listed my wishes (ya know, as one Big Wish) going on for a minute or two (the usual suspects of wishes.)
it was kat’s turn and she said my wish is for whatever is for my highest good.
i was gobsmacked. (“how could you wish for so little” i thought?... “how could you have such trust or faith?”)
we talked a bit about it and she said she only wanted what was for her highest good — meant for her. (and she would often say the phrase adding “and for all those involved.” a lot of spiritual people say this. my first time hearing it.)
it stayed with me as a hidden thought for several years but over time, i came to see (and begin to have more faith in source/the universe/god) the beauty and “bigness” of her wish.
for my highest good and all those involved.
for my highest good and all those involved.
maybe this will be meaningful to someone else today.
(i miss you kat
