Things I have always known about Boris Johnson - he likes the ladies, he runs his mouth off, he stretches the truth to breaking point and he gets shit done when he wants to - things I have learnt in the last few days - all of the above

1/
I didn't vote for Johnson because I thought he was the Pope - in fact to a certain extent quite the reverse - I actually thought that I understood him because he did all those things - he wasn't some fake PR generated cardboard cutout of a politician

2/
But more broadly I voted for him because he promised to deliver Brexit and leveling up - he said he loved this country and would fight for it - that is more than most of the others said or did

3/
So unless he fucks that up - unless he starts talking down the country I love - I really really couldn't care about who paid for a flat when it wasn't the tax payer or whether he offered to sort out some tax issues to get ventilators in a crisis

4/
And I really really really don't care what was said in the heat of a debate or discussion - because you know what we have all said stuff that we shouldn't have - what I care about is results, results and results and people caring about this country

5/
And I hate to break it to the many people frothing at the mouth over this "crisis" including much of the political press but I suspect I am not alone - in fact I would bet that the vast majority of people don't care - they want jobs, normality and stability

6/
This is especially true when we look around the world at the terrible images from India etc and the gathering economic crisis' in many countries - this is simply not that important - so yes it is all rather exciting but it is largely meaningless
