skins is on the mind so me and @graceiana_ are making a thread of who all of the skins characters would vote for
Tony: definitely did not vote during the actual timeframe of the show, but as an adult became a lib dem
Michelle: was a left wing ket head in uni but then graduated and got a nice corporate job and started voting Tory for "tax reasons"
Sid: has never once voted for an MP, maybe voted leave in the referendum BC I feel like he is easily influenced by bad propaganda. Grace said his dad voted for Scottish independence then remembered that actually he died so never mind
Chris: rip to a young king. Probably would've voted for the monster raving looney party if he could have I don't think he would have taken it all very seriously
maxxie: I get green energy. he moved to Brighton and after jeremy Corbyn left as Labour leader he fell in love with Caroline Lucas and the greens. king
Anwar: a swing voter. doesn't really affiliate with any main party but recent conservative islamophobia has turned him more towards labour and lib dem.
Effie: ideologically green but doesn't think they'll ever win so votes labour. is part of the problem.
Pandora: votes green but stays out of political discourse. doesn't like to argue just wishes everyone would get along :')
Cook: labour but voted leave. Doesn't vote in local elections at all just GEs. Politics are very vibe based very little attention paid to policies
Freddie: dead, but would've voted labour because he felt like he had no other options. also part of the problem. except not really, because he's dead.
JJ: a centrist king. just wants to do magic tricks and vibe. genuinely liked Tim Farron until he made the homophobic comments bc he lost his virginity to a lesbian so obviously is a big ally
Naomi: bona fide communist, goldsmiths legend. supported the SWP until the sexual harassment scandals, now votes women's equality party but worried about transphobes in the party. also VERY into XR.
Emily: labour supporter, but when nai gets involved in the women's equality party she starts voting for them. More into gay rights and women's activism than party politics. wants to start a political lesbian book club but never gets around to it.
ok end of thread hope u enjoyed, let me know if you think we got anyone wrong!
