Don't read the post. Read the comments under the post. This guy is an example of a man who is using vague cultural religious imagery to whitewash a govt led pandemic mismanagement and enable a fascist govt to cover up our ground realities. Do not listen to man. https://twitter.com/vasabjit_b/status/1386704715480768516
This video has dead bodies lying scattered. There is no dignity in death here & the govt doesn't want this image to be seen by the world. The ppl in video are calling out d govt & media for not showing these images. These are the ppl who have lost someone https://twitter.com/zoo_bear/status/1386762957325934593?s=20
This is what death means here https://twitter.com/misandristbb/status/1386729762618417152?s=20
You don't want us to post pictures of graves, then maybe you can read about the ordeal of the workers working overtime at these crematoriums? And remember this is a rEport from 21st April and one can only guess how bad it has gotten now. https://twitter.com/ArunDev1/status/1384866835968012290?s=20
Kindness, here, today in India is talking about this death and acknowledging this death. These translated obituaries from one newspaper in Gujarat tells us that. https://twitter.com/deepakpatel_91/status/1385464206137323521?s=20
Also, many diaspora Indians who are largely upper caste Hindus are far more comfortable holding nations in the global north responsible than calling out our own socio-pol structures of caste and hindu supremacy which has far more blood and death on its hands than anyone else.
The same ppl who intentionally paraded dead bodies to carry out a pogrom in 2002 are violently suppressing images of death now. Many ppl I have known have passed over the course of few weeks. Today again I was informed of someone I know having succumbed to covid.
It is not the death that they want to hide. It is the accountability and responsibility they want to supress. As a nation we have weaved the symbolism of death into every aspect of our nationhood. Why must this death be hidden and these graves remain invisible?
