This was

Of the 10,438 deaths registered in Week 15, 362 mentioned #COVID19 on the death certificate (3.5% of all deaths).

Of the 362 deaths involving #COVID19, 76.0% had this recorded as the underlying cause of death.

Of deaths involving #COVID19 registered in 2020 and up to Week 15, 96,005 deaths ( 69.1%) occurred in hospitals. The remainder mainly occurred in

The number of deaths involving #COVID19 increased in North West, West Midlands, London and the South West but decreased in all other English regions.

In England,  131,176 deaths that occurred up to 16 Apr 2021 (registered up to 24 Apr) involved #COVID19.

In Wales, 7,853 deaths that occurred up to 16 Apr 2021 (registered up to 24 Apr) involved #COVID19.
