"42% of businesses fail in the first year due to lack of validation"

How to Validate your SaaS Idea?

🧵 A thread: 👇
What you'll learn(TL;DR):

✅ When to Validate?
✅ Need of Validation?
✅ Asking for feedback
✅ Engaging with the target customer
✅ BIP Approach

Below you'll get more insights on each one of them 👇
Idea validation will give the answer for some of these questions:

🔲 Does this problem exist?
🔲 Can someone pay for it?
🔲 What are the existing solutions?
⭐ 1/ When to validate?

As soon as you can, YES!!!

Your idea is like your partner and you need to validate your partner before putting effort into it.

Many of the founders do mistakes by making products first and then go for validation.
⭐ 2/ Why is there a need for validation?

Validation has some benefit like:

🔲 It reduces the risk
🔲 Test the product demand
🔲 Prove hypothesis
🔲 Determine audience
🔲 speeds up the creation process

Now you know the benefits let us move to the actionable stage
⭐ 3/ Asking for feedback from your target audience

I'll share what I did:

✅ Drafted a message with a raw idea statement
✅ Sent the idea in DM to a few potential users
✅ Updated the raw idea every time I got feedback
✅ After few iterations, I started connecting with potential users over short meetings

✅ This gave me an idea of what to include in MVP

I'm thankful for some of them for providing feedback and helping me on this: @ayshptk @arvidkahl
⭐ 4/ Tweet and Engage with users

I posted a tweet through which I got to know few amazing products.

Engage in tweets that ask "what you're working on" (works great)

Engaging with potential users lead to getting the attention of more

⭐ 5/ Build-in-public approach

I use this approach and most of the creators I know also use this to:

🔲 Built a massive audience
🔲 Got paying customers in early stage
🔲 Created great connections

This will also help you at the time of launching the product
