okay, kanej twt, we gotta have a talk. it's totally cool to not want kanej to kiss in the show for the slow-burn, but implying that they will never kiss/have sexual intercourse purely because of their trauma is ableist (thread)

ALL SURVIVORS DO NOT HEAL THE SAME WAY. we do not know how kaz and inej heal. and some survivors choose not to touch because they're comfortable with it years after their trauma, but for some kissing/physical intimacy is a part of the healing process

when you say "kaz and inej will NEVER kiss and NEVER have sex" you're invalidating trauma survivors who have gone through trauma situations and DO choose to engage in physical intimacy, and there are plenty of them

because for some people, that intimacy is a part of the recovery process. healing is not a linear process, and it isn't just one way, and leigh has never stated that kanej won't touch later on in life - she's implied that they do want to touch

so if you want to believe kanej will never have sex or kiss, that's totally up to you, but it's not a superior opinion, and please don't delegitimize the opinions of those who do want them to eventually be somewhat physically intimate

because kanej is an important relationship for a lot of people for a lot of reasons because of how it addresses trauma growth, and part of why it's amazing is that we can all reflect on how they try to recover from that trauma

"kanej show stans shouldn't want them to kiss in the show" makes sense bc that's about slow burn but "kanej will never kiss and if you think they ever should you're invalidating them" is not okay

kanej pwp that doesn't deal w their trauma is obviously insensitive, but there's nothing wrong w authors respectfully writing aged up kanej having sex after a lot of character development. if you don't want to read it, ignore it, but pls respect fan creators always
