the entire game tried to delve into the trauma young children often dealt with in their society but often just trivialized or fetishized it like here. i also want to add jataro (another kid) who i believe could be a caricature of a nd person but feel free to correct me on that

seen as something to be fixed by the end of her optional events and in much romantic side content with the protagonist. her backstory is that her martial arts teacher taught her that men would "drain her spirit" and this is supposed to be the only reason why she isnt interested
in them. to me this reads as the writers saying that lesbians only *think* they dont like men and they will eventually get over their lesbianism (usually with the help of a man) which is a dangerous mindset and i dont need to tell you why. additionally, more than anyone previous,
tenko is obsessive over the girl she likes and constantly attempts to control her and fawns over her, so much so that i would often consider it harassment. the negative way this paints lesbians is awful and it saddens me just to think about. did i mention she dies? she dies btw

i should also add here that there are a couple love hotel events that are gaybaity and pretty much none of them represent gay relationships that well, and in the vein of incest tsumugis event is also really weird but its more or less treated as normal for some reason

ndrv3 is in general really really weirdchamp in its writing, much moreso than the previous two main games, so i wont discuss every single character but many of them have upsetting implications if you look a bit more closely
i wanted to write this thread to help more people understand why a lot of people dont want ranboo to play danganronpa on stream. for the record i love a lot of the characters on this list i simply wanted to point out the bigotry inherent in danganronpa's writing and how it
