I was fortunate to visit Kishkindha last month with family. It was a Theerthayatra. Kishkindha is situated in present day Hampi (Vijayanagara) on the banks of River Tungabhadra in Vijayanagara district.

I was not do fortunate due to the time limit I had and could not visit the Anjanadri Betta across the river and visible from Vijaya Vitthala Temple and Stone Chariot. This is the birth place of Lord Hanuman.

This place is so divine that My mother rather and I said silent prayers from Prangana of Shri Vijaya Vitthala to Anjaneya and asked his help to see the end of this deadly pandemic that has hit us.

Hanuman is Sankat Mochan and he did become Sankat Mochan for Sugreeva and Lord Rama in their respective problems. I am putting behind the onus of saving humanity from this tragedy on our Lord. I hope we beat the pandemic soon.

The beauty of Kishkindha is that there is a sense of peace everywhere in that holy land. Be it near Virupaksha temple or Tungabhadra river the land did witness greatest chapters in Indian history from Ramayana to Vijayanagara empire. We are the children of this beautiful heritage
