Prussia is really crazy to me

Like, as a concept

It was basically the closest thing in reality to one of those always-evil fantasy races whose entire society and culture is oriented around conquest and slaughter

Prussia was a fucking Baltic country that had its population essentially exterminated by a religious knightly order that later transmogrified itself into an ethnic group

And because of their origins as a group of warriors, the Teutonic Order became...what I described above

The militarist culture that was birthed out of Prussia’s origins just does not feel real to me

It’s like Utah, it seems like a fake place a fantasy author invented
