hi mormons i love you so much but don& #39;t mormonsplain christianity to theologically trained ministers based on a conversation you had with a lapsed catholic on your mission once, please and thank you
@brittanymang i am certain you know nothing of this experience
Something interesting about the responses to this tweet (and there are many more than I expectee) is the assumption that I& #39;m saying theological training makes a person superior. Theological training doesn& #39;t guarantee that you& #39;ll be a good pastor or teach well or even faithfully.
My only point was that there& #39;s a certain shall we say chutzpah in telling someone who has academic training in a specific subject (e.g. non lds theology) that you know more about that subject than they do. It wasn& #39;t a comment on the truth claims or the content itself.
It& #39;s like when I was Mormon and non lds folks kept trying to tell me what I believed. I was always like TRUST ME I KNOW WHAT I BELIEVE BETTER THAN YOU DO.
Anyway carry on, internet. Never change.
