Judging someone's character by whose and what views they endorse and promote is a perfectly logical thing to do.

The "that's guilt by association" defense is so silly.
We all judge people based on what we see on their timeline. That's just common sense. It's actually less logical to take all that information, set it aside, and interact with every such person with full benefit of the doubt.

Wasting your own time, illogically.
One of the worst parts about this "Rational Bro" culture so prevalent on social media is that it asks us to turn our brains off and treat every new sea lion like we were born yesterday. If your TL is a who's who of bad actors, don't be surprised you're judged accordingly.
The associations you choose to promote are informative about who you are. The guilt from thoss associations are self-selected. If you're lucky your other actions speak more clearly to your character.
