idk why i’m engaging with this week’s discourse like i don’t know better. BUT, acting like everyone has equal access to t4t dating pools & like cisnormative logics of desire don’t shape how all people (cis & trans) experience and express desire is dense and reductionist

there’s room to criticize the “trans people will never find sex/love” narrative for how it assumes most trans people want cis partners, and for how hilariously wrong it is about many of our lives w/o denying the truth to the narrative

like.. why are we pretending that discourses of trans desirability are indicative of internalized transphobia only and not also. .. the way that many trans people are treated when they seek romantic + sexual connection
