I WANT to love this, I really do. As someone living with Erb& #39;s Palsy, in theory I& #39;m a target customer for this. But practically, I just don& #39;t see myself paying for this for one simple reason https://abs.twimg.com/emoji/v2/... draggable="false" alt="👇" title="Rückhand Zeigefinger nach unten" aria-label="Emoji: Rückhand Zeigefinger nach unten"> https://twitter.com/OpenStyleLab/status/1386773704852508681">https://twitter.com/OpenStyle...
/ That reason is lack of choice. It looks like this only works with deodorants specifically made to fit this device. If I want to use it with a fragrance only available as a "regular" deodorant, I& #39;m out of luck.
/ I& #39;d be stuck with whatever options Unilever makes for the adaptive line, forget about if I prefer a deodorant from another brand. If it was just an attachment that could work with most deodorant designs, I& #39;d buy this tomorrow.
/ Don& #39;t get me wrong, I love the work @Unilever is doing in accessibility and inclusive design. And if the choice is using this or nothing, of course I& #39;d go for this. I DON& #39;T think this is a #disabilitydongle.
/ But in its current form, I think I& #39;m just going to stick to bending awkwardly to apply my roll on deodorant. We, the people with disabilities, are after all the original life hackers. We figure a way out.
/ I& #39;ll share a secret sauce @richdonovannyc hammered into me early on - people with disabilities don& #39;t always want "special" products. We just want the regular, everyday products to be accessible.
