This is being pushed by people who either lost the last election, oppose COVID health responses, oppose criminal justice reform, want to be Governor themselves, or all of the above.

The Governor was elected to a 4 year term by the people. He's done nothing to deserve being recalled 2 years into it.

79% of Democrats in last months poll said they'd vote no on the recall. And 79% of Republicans said they'd vote yes. I understand that some Democrats also signed the petition, but those are the numbers.
