NEW - The province has administered 1,635,372 doses of the COVID-19 vaccine. Of these 89,035 are second shots. The province will start booking late 50s this week. #bcpoli
Province is now down to 40,000 doses of Pfizer. BC is expecting 138,060 doses of the vaccine tomorrow. #bcpoli
On Johnson & Johnson vaccine update, Dr. Henry says expectation is Canada will received more than 300,000 doses of the vaccine this week. "We still don't have dates for sure." BC should get it next week. #bcpoli
BC has plans to use the single dose vaccine and it is fridge stable. Says there is some flexibility for delivery and aiming places harder to reach for a second a dose. About 32k to 35k will come to BC. #bcpoli
On what British Columbians need to be cautious of before receiving a second dose, Dr. Henry says there a lot of things to look forward to. "We are hopeful that if we get the vaccine we are promised that we might be ahead of the July 1 timeline." #bcpoli
