so the basecamp thing: it's so easy for founders to forget that here in the US our jobs are the only powerful group in our lives where our voice can really make a difference. there's no other way to make reps or senators hear you on anything
sure they're in charge, they don't have to do anything in their company

but they really are trying to have it both ways

where is the line between "directly relates to our business" and "the other stuff" if you aren't a wealthy white dude founder
just confirms my internal rule that anytime a founder writes a book about "our awesome way of doing things better than the rest" that it means there is already a bunch weird bs just under the surface
