I'm at the fantastic #paraDIGMS2021 workshop, and my wife has been listening to excellent interviews on http://foodrevolutionsummit.org  . It's remarkable how many parallels there are between the challenges of improving math culture and expanding access to plant-based whole foods. 1/

The key challenge is that we have to decide that we value supporting and nourishing other people. And make the choice to place the well-being of others as a major priority in our lives and our society. 2/

In math, we must decide to truly and seriously invest in people doing math, not only the development of new mathematical results. In food policy, we must invest in foods and food systems that actually support personal, public, and environmental health, not corporate profits. 3/3
