One day I was laid off from my “secure” W2 job w/o notice. On the drive home I decided to freelance F/T. #Freelancing the last 40 yrs has let me earn a living building a business from my creative work, create a future for myself & take care of my family. 2/7

As a #singlemom, I was at all my kid’s games, coached her softball team & didn’t have to depend on $$ after school/camp. My daughter is now also an #entrepreneur & #womanbusiness owner #freelancer in her own right. Every woman should have this right. 3/7

I have a purpose & calling best pursued and achieved through independence and self-determination. I set my rates, own my time, and work with the clients I can best serve. I have no desire to carry anyone else’s banner, which is what employees do. 4/7

I make well above minimum wage, own my home because I freelance and negotiate my own rates. It’s not that I CAN’T hold a W2 job, it’s that I DON'T WANT TO. I should have the #righttowork as I choose. 5/7

That's why we need the ABC test removed from #PROAct and kept out of ALL federal labor, employment and tax law. 7/7
