So, my friend @NicolaPhillips4 was assaulted by a woman outside @blinkfitness.

Nicola, who is Black, politely asked the (white) woman to wear a mask, and the woman responded by physically attacking her.

@blinkfitness responded by... permanently banning Nicola from their gym.
"Maybe they got mixed up?"

Nah.

Nicola has reached out to @blinkfitness repeatedly by both email and written complaint, and even filed a report with the Better Business Bureau seeking some kind of intervention.
So: a white anti-masker put one of @blinkfitness& #39;s Black clients at risk.

Her reaction to a polite confrontation was outright physical assault.

And, instead of taking responsibility for the unsafe situation they had created, Blink punished the Black woman.
Nicola does not work a high wage job, she already paid her gym dues, she doesn& #39;t have a lot of affordable options in the area, she& #39;s explained this situation *at length* and *repeatedly* to @blinkfitness, and they& #39;ve just shoved the problem under the rug.
Nicola is the victim of a racist street assault, and she& #39;s being punished for it.

It appears that because she& #39;s Black, a woman, and an immigrant, @blinkfitness thinks they can walk all over her, ignore the circumstances, and get away with it.
Help hold @blinkfitness accountable.

Their DMs are open, and their Village West location& #39;s phone number is (718) 704-1600.

Call/DM (bonus for both) and tell them to stop punishing Black women for standing up for their health.

Let us know their response in the replies.
