When we think of Great People we often think too much about the "Great" and not enough about the "People".

Whilst they are extraordinary figures, they were still people like anyone else.

Here's a few lessons those that have done it.

How to be You the Great.

βš”οΈThreadβš”οΈ
Frederick the Great

Act Quickly

Frederick was a leader famous for his military skill.

He believed that the quickest army would be victorious, even when outnumbered.

He proved this as he established Prussia as a military power.
Alfred the Great

Create Unity

Vikings had invaded most of his neighbours,

Alfred was able to unite the surviving kingdoms under his rule and force the Vikings back.

This became the Kingdom of England.

If you can work with your rivals,

You can overcome your enemies.
Peter the Great

Invest in yourself

When Peter became Tsar of Russia, he modernised everything from the economy to education.

He used these advancements to expand his territory, making Russia a major European power.

Focus on yourself, your influence will grow.
Cyrus the Great

Be Diplomatic

Cyrus created the Persian empire,

Whilst he was a brilliant military commander, he preferred to win without battling.

He would look to make deals, even when ready to invade.

Skip the battle entirely, you can begin the next one sooner.
Alexander the Great

Be Bold

Alexander took his smaller Macedonian army directly into the Persian empire to conquer his mighty neighbours.

Even in battle he would charge directly at the enemy leader.

He never lost a battle.

If you are braver, you will always have an edge.
