Boba liberalism is a phrase that has been increasingly gaining more traction in mainstream Asian diaspora discourse. However, a lot of the time this phrase has been misunderstood and misused.
This activism ends at shallow issues of media representation & interpersonal stories of hardship. There is always a lack of analysis of Western imperialism & racial capitalism.

Boba liberals want to be accepted by the system, not dismantle it.
Like boba, it is harmless & easy to digest.

It's important to correctly identify & understand boba liberalism as popular political views in the Asian diaspora. We must challenge our peers to move past shallow politics that have not bettered the lives of the underprivileged.
