Checking in from just outside Fremont ahead of @CWHerbster’s formal announcement for the 2022 Republican gubernatorial nomination.
The event is set to kick off at 3:45 p.m. here at the Heartland County Barn outside Fremont.
Herbster will become the second entry into the 2022 GOP race. University of Nebraska regent Jim Pillen announced his intent to run on April 7.

Herbster operates Herbster Angus Farms in Falls City and is the owner/CEO of the Conklin Company in Kansas City.
He also hold close political ties with former President Donald Trump, serving as the chairman to Trump’s ag and rural advisory committee.
