140 million Americans vaccinated
115 million adults not yet vaccinated

What follows are my notes for people not yet vaccinated.
What people who haven't been vaccinated should consider.

-140 million Americans & hundreds of millions more globally have taken the vaccine safely & effetively
-COVID is a real threat to unvaccinated people-- look at India & our recent experience in Michigan
-America's drug safety system works. The recent pause of J&J shows that even highly infrequent issues will be immediately investigated & publicized
-These vaccines have been in development for decades with an eye on viruses like C19 & have gone through very large clinical trials
-People under 50 are at risk-- even if they've had COVID over the last year. New variants & the "waning" of immunity are causing more hospitalizations among young people
-COVID acts randomly. It hits people differently, some severely & many chronically (including a loved one)
If you're still undecided...
-do your own homework: get your questions answered from reliable places (not FB)
-ask your doctor (90%+ have been vaccinated) what they think (not politicians or govt officials like me)
-talk to people you know who have been vaccinated
Finally-- and this matters a lot to some people--

Some at risk ppl aren't able to get vaccinated. People who have had transplants, chronically ill kids, or who have compromised immune systems to pick 3 examples.

Getting the rest of us vaccinated makes it safer for them.
