(1/6) So some people are gonna disagree with me others will agree, but myself & @Sillygizmo10 have talked about this a few times and its a big issue with the DW Fandom;

People are put onto pedestals and treat like the bee's knees. Its almost like God Worship at this point.
(2/6) I think the T. Vance situation is proof of this. I rarely saw anyone say a bad word about him and it was almost like people idolised him - but because he's been raised above the rest of the fandom in many people's eyes, he's been able to get away with acting like a cunt.
(3/6) Now I'm not comparing these people to Vance, because they are genuinely decent people.

When someone genuinely decent is actually thrown on this pedestal, I can't imagine the pressure that is gonna put them under. Two biggest examples of nice people being in this situation
(4/6) Two examples of genuinely nice people being put on a pedestal I can think of are Christel Dee and Emily Cook.

I remember when the Fan Show was a thing, and it got slated to hell-n-back by all corners of the fandom because it didn't feel honest - and of course it wouldn't,
(5/6) The fan show was made by the BBC to promote the show as advertising. Its gonna be bias towards the show and not say a bad word about it, not even healthy criticism. But did the Beeb get the backlash? No, Dee & Spillane did. I can't imagine how awful that must feel.
(6/6) this fandom has got to stop treating people like fucking Gods. They're people like you, and me.

People are capable of the best and the absolute worst, so please keep that and mind, and stop needlessly putting the fans on pedestals

The higher you are, harder you fall.
(7/6) I'd appreciate if you'd retweet the first part of this thread so as many people can see it as possible.

The Tom Vance situation is horrible, yes. But what's done is done.

The fandom needs to see this shit, as a fucking wake up call.
