Accepting Mikel Arteta's 2020/21 Premier League season-The worst in the last 25 years for Arsenal FC.

A thread that will address the most common excuses used to protect the failure by Mikel Arteta.

1.Arteta hasn't been backed
In the summer transfer window Arteta spend 80 million pounds. Only in 2 other summer transfer windows have Arsenal spend more.
Mikel himself has said that he's been backed,if he truly wasn't he should've called the board out like other managers.

2.Average squad, needs his own players
Most of the Top gooners after the end of the transfer window said this squad+Partey=top 4 secured while rating the 2 last windows 8/10 and 11/10.
18/23 first team players have been signed, given a contract or begged to stay by Arteta.

3.He has won the FA cup he has proven himself just give him time
Mikel's cup win was great for the 2019/2020 season.
It gave hope but we didn't build on that.
Winning the domestic cup shouldn't give you 3 years free pass in a club like Arsenal.

4.We have improved since December.
We are only looking like we have improved in the league because of our relegation form pre Christmas.
9Ws 5Ds 5Ls is not impressive for a club of our size.
The made up "since Christmas table" is a false image.

5.Didn't have a CAM.
Arteta had a CAM that he left out of the squad. Smith-Rowe wasn't given a chance before the Chelsea game where he had no other options.
You say this isn't football manager first,so why did you expect Gabriel,Partey and then Aouar to be bought in 1 window.

6.Reffere decisions
Every club has been done wrong by the incompetent English refs and VAR, But only Arsenal fans will call it a conspiracy.
What about the dodgy penalty vs spurs? or the FA cup final which you all gas? we were lucky with decisions as well.

7.Individual mistakes
Emery lost 27 points due to individual mistakes, Every Arteta stan is first to point a mistake when Arteta is the manager but with Emery he was abused.
(Xhaka is still praised as our most important player despite this record).

8.Improved Defence
36 goals conceded in 32 matches is not a good Defence.We only concede less goals than seasons before because of Arteta's pragmatic system which lets the attack suffer,thus why Arteta broke dozens of bad attacking records.Arsenal had a 14g streak w/o clean sheet

9. New to management-Big club like Arsenal shouldn't be even looking at Amateur managers.

10.Pandemic
Every club has been hit by the pandemic and is playing without fans. twitter doesn't realize that
with crowd fans in the stadium abuse and boo the players for bad performances.

Winning the Poverty European cup that we don't want to be in is not enough. Our standards should be challenging for PL and CL.

Giving more time to a failed project can only damage the club more
