Look, if this is who you are, I don& #39;t want to work with you. End of story.

My ability to work every day happens in a society that& #39;s steeped in challenges that impact me, my work, my wellbeing. The murders of people of colour by the police take a toll on my work and my life.

I cannot choose to ignore politics, because politics refuses to ignore me. Society at large impacts my choices as a person of colour, as the child of immigrants, as an immigrant, as a person with ADHD.

Every day, political choices make life easier or harder for me, and I deserve to have a workplace that makes that easier to work through while being able to do my best work.

Imagine thinking you can wash your hands of social impact like this. No thanks.

The long and short of Basecamp is that this is a political decision.
