LEAGUE WIDE POWER RANKINGS

We’ve hit the 2/3rd mark for the 4 leagues that helped lead #CACisBack through Spring 21

I want to recognize all of you that helped pull this off (so far) & how else could I do that but put together a list!

#B5v5West #5v5Draft #B5v5North #B5v5East
#32 - Accomplices ( #B5v5West 0-6 - PD -29.33) - Rough go of it for the Accomplices so far, and the point differential was helped greatly by a 5-2 forfeit loss last week. They’ve got 3 weeks to turn the season around and head into the playoffs on a high note!
#31 - License to Lillard ( #5v5Draft 0-6 - PD -11.33) - This team is a mess with attendance and has dropped a couple very, very winnable games. You’d think i’d give them the benefit of the doubt but you’d be wrong because @HTD12223 is involved.
#30 - Already Winded ( #B5v5West 1-5 - PD -21.00) - Lone win is against 32nd ranked Accomplices by 23 way back in week 1. The good news is they get them one more time before the season is out. that’s the best thing I can say about this mash-up of #Over30Legends + random rookies
#29 - SlomDonkers 2.0 ( #B5v5East 0-6 PD -24.34) The Donkers point differential is yiiiiikes but they play in the toughest division by far. I’ll give them a pass for that. I think they’d beat the 2 teams ranked behind them and it's a toss up vs the next couple in front of them.
#28 - Walking Buckets ( #B5v5East 1-5 PD -15.17) They've made a late addition that could help them pick up another win and maybe a playoff upset, but can Kofi handle being the #1 option in a 5v5 league? We’ll see! SlomDonkers are looking forward to seeing them again in week 9
#27 - DRBL ( #B5v5North 0-6 PD -14.33) - DRBL has the best player (Fru) of all the teams ranked below them. Even if their streaky 3 point shooting is what ultimately does them in, I feel like they’ve got a shot to compete in close games the rest of the season.
#26 - I’m A Shooter ( #5v5Draft 2-4 PD -2.5) - Honestly if you told me before the season started that I could rank 6 teams below the first auto-draft team I'd consider that a win for my dart-throwing draft strategy
#25 - Stay Out of This ( #B5v5North 2-4 PD -1.34) - The team has won 2 manic games in a row thanks to the heroics of @TheBullyBobHaas to pull them out of the bottom of the basement but how high is this team's ceiling??
#24 - GullyCricket Elite ( #B5v5West 1-5 PD -2.67) - Probably giving this team a little too much credit considering last week's implosion but the schedule is cake the rest of the way and they could get a favorable round 1 match-up in the playoffs
#23 - You Got Tibbs’D ( #5v5Draft 2-4 -3.67) - the collection of talent is there for a good team but they haven't found a way to put it together yet. I have faith a few more weeks might make them a dangerous playoff opponent
#22 - GoonSquard ( #B5v5North 3-3 PD -1.00) - Roster turnover and the inability to win games unless I make them double digit underdogs has led to a seemingly underwhelming season for the Goonies. Favored against DRBL coming up? uh-oh.
#21 - http://Shoot.It .Coward ( #B5v5West 2-4 PD -6.33) - This is the best team that Harry can put together? They won their first 2 games of the season and I thought we had a legit contender on our hands. Thankfully I was wrong.
#20 - Ronin VIII ( #5v5Draft 3-3 PD -0.84) - You don't see many teams play an effective zone, but Ronin has found a way to stretch their zone all the way to half court without giving up too many easy baskets. It has kept a pretty one dimensional offense in a lot of games.
#19 - Brooks Ballers ( #B5v5North 3-3 PD -1.00) - A swarm of rookies has kept Brooks Ballers in most games but teams are starting to focus on MacKay and know they don't have another solid #2 option to hurt them.
#18 - Players Make Plays ( #B5v5West 4-2 PD +10.84) - An impressive 4 game win streak after starting 0-2 is tempered by the absolutely brutal stretch to end the season, the top 3 teams in their league above them all await
#17 - CAC Top Shot ( #5v5Draft 2-4 PD -4.50) - A team that is truly greater than the sum of its parts. When I first typed that is autocorrected to APRs, which is also true!
#16 - Nuketown ( #B5v5North 3-3 PD +2.17) - At times this team looks like world-beaters and at others they can't get out of their own way so a ranking right in the middle seems appropriate. I wouldn't be surprised with them winning the North or losing in the first round.
#15 - DUNTON ( #5v5Draft 4-2 PD +3.50) - MVP favorite in the draft league does a lot of heavy lifting by himself so props to Stanowicz. How would it translate across leagues though?
#14 - Dirty Jim & The Boys ( #B5v5North 4-2 PD +1.17) - If this were a twitter ranking you know this team and its fan base would be #1 but you've got to make it work on the court too. That spanking by Big Tuna is still very much fresh in my mind
#13 - AB Alums ( #B5v5East 3-3 PD +0.16) AJ hasn't completely tanked the Alums but they've certainly had more down moments than they are used to. He can blame the covid break (flies this season) but don't go the 'bring Cam back at QB' route more than once and expect it to work!
#12 - Young Bulls ( #B5v5East 2-4 PD -3.0 ) yes i know they lost to the Alums but they seemed to have turned a corner from behind the arc and I wouldn’t want to see them in the first round if I’m one of the top teams in the East
11 - Toxic Maskulinity ( #B5v5West 5-1 PD +11.17) - Food is a powerful motivator! Emmett has turned what seemed like a .500 season around with a 4 game win streak and they're the clear 2nd best team in the West
#10 Cobra Kai ( #5v5Draft 5-1 PD +9.33) - It doesn't seem like this team SHOULD be good, but all the pieces fit around each other & work well together. For some reason Musse's "I'm too old for this shit" leadership is key. He's got the young kids all on the same page playing well
#9 - Seal Team 69 ( #B5v5East 4-2 PD +8.33) I'm honestly shocked these guys can generate enough offense each and every week, but that's why we play the games (and you know, i haven't seen them in 3 weeks)
#8 - Straight Outta Serbia Vol. 2 ( #B5v5West 5-1 PD +16.83) - If this team was healthy and had a full roster of players they're a clear top 4 squad with Luka's MVP caliber season leading the way. Unfortunately they've been struggling to even get 5 to show each week.
#7 - Space & Pace ( #B5v5North 4-2 PD +4.33) - I’m discounting the 2 game Marino-less hiccup. They’re 4-0 with him, 0-2 without him
Is that pretty inconsistent with how i've treated attendance with the rest of these rankings? You know it, but they're MY rankings, not yours. Deal
#6 - Junkyard Dogs ( #B5v5West 6-0 PD +19.70) is this a reflection of how I view the West? YUP! The Dogs have a rotation of players step up to be the #1 option each week. That’s fine in the West, but in hypothetical games against all 32 teams? I'm not sure that would cut it
#5 - Pylons ( #B5v5East 5-1 PD +10.00) - It was very hard not to just rank the top 4 East teams at the top of this list! Couldn't do it though
#4 - ROOKS ( #5v5Draft 6-0 PD +8.34) - I’ve never been so confident in a team that shoots 22% from 3 (42.16 attempts). The #2 team is Big Tuna at 33.67 attempts whose captain said “I get mad when guys pass up any 3" The Rooks shoot 25% more 3s than THAT team! ABSURD
#3 - The Cat Guys ( #B5v5East 4-2 PD +5.5) - I cannot tell you how much I hate myself for this ranking, but with Brett back, and a Boston victory under their belt I take them over almost every other team we've got this season
#2 - Big Tuna ( #B5v5North 5-1 PD +10.00) - They have been locked in since working out the kinks in a week 1 loss. No other team brings a full 150% intensity for all 44 minutes like this team. Their best player doesn't just play offense, he wants to humiliate you on defense too
#1 - BOSTON - ( #B5v5East 5-1 PD +18.5) I don’t think there’s much controversy here, unless you're Mazz whining on twitter. 5 wins all by 11+ and it took a near perfect game to beat them by 3. I'd take them by double figures 9 times out of 10 against every other team in the top 10
