Okay, Y’all. Gather ‘round because I’m going to tell you about Fiona, #BlueHour , and why you should donate to this film if at all possible.

When I first read @FionaKida script it was through a mentorship program. I had written/directed 13 short films over the years, and I wanted to do what I could to help another young filmmaker turn their visions into reality. When I read her script, I was blown away.

To me, that script was one that I knew would transcend what was on the page. Nuanced in a way that I’ve never seen in a short film before. And so intensely visual, it was as though I was watching the movie each time I read it. I still get chills thinking about it.

After reading the script, I had thought about helping to produce it. I loved it that much. But I wanted to be patient. To play it safe before making any decisions.

And then I finally got to meet/speak with Fiona.

Let me tell you... wow.

Going into the call, I knew I had wanted to help her get this beautiful film made.

Once I met her and got to know her, there was no doubt in my mind.

I HAD to help her get this film made. No matter what.

The passion. The enthusiasm. The deeply rooted love for storytelling. Fiona has it all in spades, with the work ethic to match anyone I’ve ever known or been around.

I’ve seen this woman move mountains. I’ve watched her stick to her guns so that she can make her version of her movie the way she envisioned it. She’s honest, kind, thoughtful, and overall, a special talent destined for a career many of us dream of. This, I’m certain of.

This film is a gorgeous story about unrequited love, and one that I believe will resonate with so many of you. It’s timely. It’s important. And I truly believe that if you love movies, you will absolutely love this one.

But don’t take it from me.

It has been an absolute honor, a pleasure, and a privilege to be an executive producer on this film. And what I can promise to those of you generous enough to donate to the film, is this:

Your money will not only go towards post production, but you would be investing in a film lead by a woman who I would trust with my life. Creatively and otherwise. Trust that your money will be out into the hands of a truly great artist. One who is ready to breakthrough.

One who has put in the time and the work, and is about to come out on the other side with a film that I believe will change her life forever.
