@TeamYouTube I am receiving a copyright claim on my video even though I am using a copyright-free song with attribution to the artist in my video description. The song I'm using is "Lights" by Sappheiros; however, the copyright claim is telling me the copyright owner is Bijoy B K
It's also telling me Bijoy B K's song is called "Chill Life 2." I looked this song up, and it looks like it was uploaded to YouTube yesterday by Bijoy B K, and it is the same song as "Lights" by Sappheiros. In other words, Bijoy B K stole Sappheiros's song and claiming it as his.
This is the original song: . It was uploaded two years ago. Bijoy B K does not have the rights to this song, and he is uploading this song several times without giving attribution to the artist, then claiming it as his.
In this picture, you can see that Bijoy B K disagreed with my copyright dispute that I filed yesterday and is claiming to be the copyright owner.
Also, here is a link to one of the videos he has uploaded of this song (he uploaded many around the same time yesterday):
As you can see, he is trying to upload this song several times, and in none of those instances is he giving attribution to Sappheiros, the actual artist and owner of the song. @TeamYouTube can you please help me with this issue?
@TeamYouTube I would also like to add that Bijoy B K is also attempting to sell Sappheiros's song on RouteNote. I know this because that's where the copyright claim came from in my YouTube Studio.
@routenote Please read this thread, as it relates to illegal activity taking place on your site, which is causing issues for YouTube creators and infringing on the rights of the actual artist of the stolen song being sold on your platform.
