Sooo... I received an offer for my novel from a small press that found me during the last pitmad. I requested a zoom call to meet the team & discuss my book & their process and they replied that they are busy & I should take a different offer. What?! Seem shady to anyone else?

*update* after this tweet started blowing up I received an email from them apologizing for “misinterpreting the tone of my email.” No attempt at reconciling with me on the offer, only a petition not to put them on blast in this thread and destroy their other author’s dreams. Wow.
