This one’s getting some legs, so since Twitter doesn’t let you edit a fat-fingering, EMI bought their way out of their deal with the Sex Pistols on Jan. 22, 1977, not Jan. 1. I know I tried to type the right date, and it’s been bugging me. I don’t want to spread bad info.
