4 steps to building a timeless content library 📚:

This is the repeatable framework for any online writer.

Insights from @dickiebush and @Nicolascole77.

👇
Timeless content library = a collection of all of your content 🤓
STEP ONE: Understand the rules of building your library 🚨
Rule 1: Don’t focus on any individual piece of content, focus on building a timeless library

• The sum of your library is greater than its individual parts
Rule 2: Each piece of content should A) stand 100% on its own and B) fit within your content library.

• People are probably not familiar with you or your content
• Give your reader all the information they need in each stand-alone piece
Rule 3: Order doesn't matter. Write and publish what you are inspired to write that day.
Rule 4: Don't be afraid to write about the same topic 2x or 100x. Repeat what works.

• All you need is 1 idea
• Example: @tferriss idea was 4-Hour Workweek. He repeated this framework for 4-Hour Chef, 4-Hour Body...
Rule 5: Continue to reinvent yourself over and over again.

• Look for new data points
• Explore promising topics.
STEP TWO: Define your content buckets 🪣

1. General Audience
2. Niche Audience
3. Industry Audience
1. General Audience
• any question that is relevant to the most number of people
• Answer the questions that millions of people have
• You will get more views less engagement in this bucket
2. Niche Audience (specific)
• Can be a type of person
• Can be by title
• Can be by the problem
• You will get fewer views but more engagement in this bucket
3. Industry Audience

• You are writing about the space you’re in to establish authority
STEP THREE: Figure out your BIG WHY ❓

• What lens ties all your content pieces together?
• Example: @dickiebush lens is writing online
The goal for your WHY: Anytime you're writing you're trying to clarify your lens and your niche audience.
To get to this goal over time...answer these questions by using data:

• What are my proven topics?
• What are my proven formats?
• What is my category?
STEP FOUR: Pick your topics 🐵

Universal topics🌏:
• Self-help
• Habits
• Relationships
• Wealth
• Productivity
• Health
• Tech
• Success
• Purpose
Proven approaches ✅:
• how to
• Lessons learned
• Mistakes
• Quotes
• Stats
• Trends
• Examples
• Reasons
• Moments
• Arguments
Your topics = universal topic + proven approach + your niche and what you want to write about ✍️
PSA: Create and publish every day. This process happens while you're writing, NOT before.

Happy writing! 🥳
