it's very hard to internalise that so many people who were killed by covid were set up to die from it years before the pandemic emerged, by austerity, privatisation, nhs 'efficiency' savings, by labour precarity. but there's no proper accountability without facing that imo
i don't care at all for a week long media circus about what johnson may or may not have said, i care that a fundamental disregard for human life has been written into the british state for years, longer. that made the distribution of these deaths all but certain
i hesitate to once again say that i am becoming the joker, but. the only reason we're even arguing about lockdowns because the last resort is the only response this state is willing to offer us at all
