Today, I bought a new pair of sneakers. It sent me thinking abt what finally having some$$ means. It meant I could buy the sneakers that fit perfectly, no matter the price. Stimulus $ last summer meant I could buy a treadmill. 1/3

Treadmill meant I could become healthier, lower my blood sugar, and lost some 20 pounds. Back to the sneakers: I could afford the treadmill, thus could afford to be in shape, could also afford the sneakers...2/3

Meaning I’m healthier. Meaning I will live longer (hopefully). Meaning I’ll cost the health care system less. Bcz the gov’t sent $1200 for a treadmill & bcz I can pay for new sneakers. Money saves lives. Lack can destroy them. Universal. Basic. Income. Now.
