A month and a half ago, I posted on Twitter that I was looking for a job, and the response from the community was incredible.

The tweet got 1500 likes, 700 retweets, and 70 responses.

I want to explain how many opportunities came my way from it.

Before starting, this is the tweet I posted: https://twitter.com/nachoiacovino/status/1372239308988485643">https://twitter.com/nachoiaco...
When I posted the tweet, I had around 8000 followers.

These are the stats from this tweet.

It& #39;s my tweet with the most impressions, most RTs, and most profile clicks ever.
So, the RTs came because I asked for them, and the community answered. This is what gave me those eyes on me and the crazy amount of impressions.

This came with the unexpected influx of new followers too, from 764 the prior two weeks to 1692 the following two.
Okay! Let& #39;s get to the interesting part, how many companies contacted me and how many interviews I got from the tweet?

I interviewed for 12 companies, some of them more than once:

- 7 startups.
- 3 bigger companies.
- 2 agencies.
Some of them started offering Developer Relations which I hadn& #39;t considered before, but I realized it made perfect sense for me as a content creator and developer.

From here, it was a game of seeing which one I liked the most and which one gave me the best offer.
In the end, I decided to go with @ClerkDev since they offered a position in the middle ground between Developer Relations and Software Engineer.

I like growth and promoting, but I also like to code, so I didn& #39;t want to lose that part, and with them I could do both.
I choose them because I really like the product (Auth and user management for React and Next.js), they offered a competitive salary and also a permanent contract in Spain (thanks to @deel).

This gives me the ability to rent/buy a house and contribute to my retirement.
If this sounds interesting to you, my company is hiring developers worldwide (don& #39;t worry about it saying US/Greece, apply from anywhere!)

To sum it up, I got a job offer exactly 8 days after posting my tweet, and I started on the job 5 days after that.

Don& #39;t be afraid to put yourself out there and ask the community to help you out, post about what you can do, companies contacted me because they saw my tweets.
This tweet did better for me than throwing random applications ever did, if you are looking for a job, you should consider doing something similar.
