First, the ongoing debate about patent-bar eligibility requirements and their potential exclusionary effect on the profession doesn't extend to patent litigation, for which no technical degree is needed. 2/
Generalist lawyers bring an important mindset to patent cases: an ability to understand technical concepts from a lay perspective.
