/ The how: Creators, brands, and instructors are increasingly recognizing the importance of owning their own communities and digital subscription businesses. We saw 200% growth YoY in new customers–80% of which have been people starting a community from scratch.
/The best part? Creators have grown their revenue on @mightynetworks from memberships and courses 400% in 1 year. The majority of these subscriptions are being successfully run through Mighty Networks with fewer than 30 members.
/We’ve proven you don’t need a huge following to be successful creating a community that needs to exist in the world.
/30 members paying $1,600 a year means $30,000 for the creator (and if you think $1,600/year for an online community or course seems expensive you haven’t been paying attention).
/ Which leads me to the why: we raised $50M to unlock a new creator middle class. With this capital, we plan to make it even easier for a new creator to start and grow a community they own and fully benefit from.
/ To make a living as a creator, the only path available shouldn’t be to build a massive following, churn out endless content, and fight for attention from your followers. Too many interesting and creative people are renting their audiences instead of owning them.
/We’re pioneering a model where you can start with a community you own. Bring your members together to achieve what they can’t on their own. And charge for it — because people pay attention to what they pay for.
/And when you only need 30 members to get started, creators and coaches of all backgrounds start to see opportunities where before there were only insurmountable walls. This is the foundation for a strong, growing, diverse middle class.
And, if you haven& #39;t already, today is a great day to create a Mighty Network here. https://abs.twimg.com/emoji/v2/... draggable="false" alt="👇" title="Rückhand Zeigefinger nach unten" aria-label="Emoji: Rückhand Zeigefinger nach unten">
