This is a thread about honesty
It’s a thread about how an honest enquiry by a curious Christian about a mythical event - misrepresented as historical by a fundamentalist Christian cult - is answered by another Christian who characterises himself as a “missionary”

It starts with a tweet by @AiG citing an idiotic article about the identity of animals on a mythical boat. An article to which @DarthCalculus – a Christian – raises an interesting & valid point, namely what were those animals and what’s their relationship with modern animals?
This interesting point is answered by @kight_brian who claims there are many studies that provide this information & that @DarthCalculus is either lazy or unwilling to look for them
Well that piqued my interest & I wondered just how ignorant/dishonest @kight_brian was going to be so I asked for this information too!
A quick look at @kight_brian ‘s profile reveals that he’s supposedly a missionary in Central America & an alumnus of a couple of universities
But @kight_brian is curiously reluctant to share such information! Wonder why?
He’s challenged on this, not only by me but by @DarthCalculus and another
Rather predictably we get some more back-pedalling by @kight_brian……it seems at this point that Brian is full of wind, however he’s pressed on the subject
It’s the following day…….and @kight_brian has come back with two papers that he suggests are examples of the many studies “out there”.
Let’s look at the first example!

Good grief! Its an article from “Answers Research Journal” - in-house publication of @AiG – an organisation that rejects science – and a “journal” that'll only publish anything that confirms the mythical biblical flood as real. About as plausible as Donald Trump’s marriage vows
I point this out to @kight_brian and get a sadly somewhat predictable and dishonest response
Turns out this is a legit scientific paper but it’s not what Brian claims it to be. It’s in fact a paper concerned with the selection processes used to populate zoological collections & has nothing at all to do with the biblical flood.
This is pointed out to Brian

It seems that @kight_brian has done some Googling overnight, found a science paper with Noah’s Ark in the title and then thinks it supports his claim!
It seems that Brian didn’t even bother to read it.
Brian doesn’t like being found out!

The moral of this tale?
Don’t be Brian.
Brian lies.
Brian lies about other’s lies.
One can only speculate about the lies that Brian tells in his “missionary” work in Central America
