A thread on how I started @DataLogz and what we've accomplished so far

👇👇👇
About a year ago, I realized it's extremely hard at my corporate data job to locate data and even harder to understand it. Most data tables are filled with missing data, acronyms I've never heard of, and vague column naming convention that left me confused.
When COVID hit, my hours and salary were cut. At first, I used this extra time to level up on Call of Duty... but, I could not get over how big of a problem data confusion is at most companies. 🤔
I decided to build a no-code MVP of @DataLogz using @bubble. It took me about 3 months to build.
A few weeks after launch:

- 300+ users organized data on the no-code version of @DataLogz
- It was used at the largest data science competition in the world 🤙
- We even had a team of Ph.D. wildlife researchers use Datalogz to organize data across fishing vessels 🐟
We were featured as the @bubble app of the day. Written about by @muhanzhang and @towards_AI. We also had an uneventful @ProductHunt launch. 😂
Corporations kept trying the no-code version of @DataLogz and giving me the exact same feedback. This product is too manual and to use at our company. I need to build something that scales across 1000s of data tables.
I'm a data analyst myself and not a developer, so I decided I needed a technical co-founder to help build out the enterprise version of @DataLogz. I eventually posted on a Reddit thread looking for a co-founder.
To my surprise, the ideal partner existed on this thread. After quite a few discussions, I met the CEO of @tecknoworks and he loved the @DataLogz concept.
We decided to build not just a better version of @DataLogz, but redesign the way data teams should function. We're building what Github is for developers for the modern data analytics team.
My close high school friend @PabloLerdoNews even joined @DataLogz full-time to help focus on growth.
Currently, we have our first signed paid contract for our enterprise version of @DataLogz. 🎉🍾📣

Many more companies are in the sales pipeline, and we are planning to launch with five paying customers on a beta enterprise version in June.
