First, let us define what is a persuasive speech

It is a Speech which aims to convince the audience to believe a certain view
What are the elements involved in a persuasive speech?

Persuasive speeches may utilize the three modes of persuasion: ethos, pathos and logos
1. Logos​ ​(Logical)​ means persuading by the use of reasoning

2. Ethos is an appeal to ethics, and it is a means of convincing someone of the character or credibility of the persuader
3. Pathos is an appeal to emotion, and is a way of convincing an audience of an argument by creating an emotional response

Ethos is the most important appeal in a persuasive speech. This is a common trait in greatest speeches/orators
👉Using an attention grabbing device is a powerful way to begin a persuasive speech.

👉If you can make your audience laugh, think about a personal experience, or tell an anecdote that produces emotion, they are more likely to listen to the content of your argument, so use Hooks
👉Keep your speech short, approximately 8-10 minutes.

The effectiveness of a persuasive speech also depends on factors beyond the words of the speech, The willingness of the audience to accept a new view. Eg. A leftwing leader can't convince a rightwing audience
Mention topics which relate with the audience, it can be a mythological story, a famous incident etc.

Actuation speeches seek to incite a certain action in the audience and they are likely to appreciate it
For a persuasive speech to be well received, focus on critical aspect of information delivery.

You must aim to supply audience with facts, figures, statistics. Make sure the audience understands it, and not just accept it.
