i had a fun discussion with someone about how hq has little female characters that are present in the entirety of the manga, but even so, a lot of the characters reflect the influence of the girls in the story. hq screams feminism to me despite +
the story evolving around male leads \\\\ e.g. tanaka being raised by his older sister AND pursuing a boss ass girl like kiyoko, and him standing up for kanoka and continuing to show her support as a talented player through and through. +
during the time hinata trained with the girls is a depiction an open and safe environment for hinata to learn the basics and grow. later on playing with natsu and giving her a safe space to grow and most importantly a chance to learn.+
i know the girls in the stories can be perceived as unimportant or severely overlooked but the majority of the time they play a huge supporting role and really interesting commentary of the main events, and their stories are just parallels to the main story
