After I struggled for a whole year getting my divorce from the Kadhi's Court because my ex simply refused to give it to me out of spite, yet he moved on got married and lived his life.

The Kadhi’s Court did not enforce any sharia law on the fact that if he still said I’m his wife why wasn’t he obligated to taking care of my living expenses, my sexual needs as decreed in the sharia?
While I was left tied to a non-existent marriage with no way of moving on was both depressing and demoralizing by ever counting on this court to give me my right fairly. #kadhiscourtorpartriachialcourt
Since this experience I decided I will not ever be associated with this patriarchal court and when I got married again I used the Civil marriage route and had the Islamic marriage separate. #thechoiceswearenotenlightenedon
My marriage is therefore not legally governed by the Kadhi’s court but spiritually governed by the Islamic Sharia and that is an option many of us think we don't have. #choices
Getting a legal marriage certificate from the Kadhi's Court is an option not obligatory.
In cases of Inheritance as per sharia law, you can still go independently to a lawyer/kadhi for that enforcement. #legalloopholesthataintharam
As long as the Kadhis Court remains biased in it's approach of marital cases, we shall remain damaged and astray in our relationships and seek alternative laws to the betterment of our lives. We refuse to be put aside to rot because of one sided enforcement of sharia law.
