Ok we ain't getting anywhere with one.

But "free will" or "determinism"?
Majority of our actions are determined. Cause and effect in work here. Past affects the future. We always have to pick from the few choices we are provided with. Free will is an illusion. We have come up with this idea because we like to think that we are the centre of the-
-universe. But in reality we are just a speck of dust in the grand scheme of things. If the whole universe is working under the physical laws how can man be exempted from this? And physical laws are deterministic which means our actions are determined too.
But imo it still leaves some room for free will, an atom can exist at two places at the same time, that's randomness, that's free will. This randomness is on a minute level i.e atomic level, same way, only a small amount of our actions are free.
"Man can do what he wills, but he cannot will what he wills", fairly put by Schopenhauer. All our actions are driven by a cause, the cause itself is determined. We can choose our way of doing that action but when you really think about it you realize that choosing that certain-
-path also had a reason. Hence, determinism in general but free will on a micro level.
Or in other words, soft determinism.
